The Mduduzi Manana Foundation wishes to announce that all programmes planned between March – June 2020 have been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, including Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) programs to KwaZulu-Natal, Eastern Cape and Free State provinces; the Early Childhood Development (ECD) programme to North-West province; and the Adopt-A-College Programme to Majuba TVET College in KwaZulu-Natal province.
The President of the Republic of South Africa, H.E Cyril Ramaphosa, has urged for nationwide halt to gatherings of more than 100 people as a means to significantly decrease the spread of the virus and the disruption to public life for the next few months.
I wish to reiterate that the next few months are going to be critical. The situation could still get worse but we are still within the window of opportunity of slowing down the virus by putting in place extreme measures of personal hygiene and moderate measures of social distancing.
